Jy Thurstan is an amazing local Midwest athlete who has been going great guns over the last year or two.
He has represented WA at 2 recent National Softball Championships in the U23s in Melbourne in Feb 2024 and Brisbane in Feb 2025. In 2024 he joined an invitational team to compete at the Makassar Open and had a great tournament, only losing the Grand Final to Japan.
He’s been selected into the Australian U23 team competing at the Oceania Games in NZ in April 2025 and all the way back home was announced as the 2024 Midwest Sports Federation Senior Sport Star of the year.
We’ve been privileged to journey with Jy a little and it’s great to follow his progress and congratulate him on all his achievements.
