In a wonderful development for the young people of Northampton, a new Youth Centre will open in town on Tuesday 17th March. With the support of the Catholic Diocese of Geraldton, the JK Foundation have converted the Nagel Centre at the Old Convent into a youth centre with pool table, air hockey, table tennis, xbox, games and more. It will be a regular safe and supervised hangout space for young people with youth workers on-site to offer support.

The JK Foundation exists to reduce gaps and barriers experienced by regional young people and to support and provide opportunity and well being resources to see them and their communities flourish. After a long period of consultation with the Northampton community and the young people themselves, we are delighted to see this space open and the young people of town have somewhere to be together and develop connections. This space will be the centre of youth activities and services that will really help the young people of Northampton. We're grateful to the Shire of Northampton for their support with funding staffing which has enabled us to develop this service in town.
